When this home was built in 1983, there was no expectation that it would one day become fertile ground for Dubai’s local art scene. Although the city’s large galleries and museums serve as stages for international art, they often overlook important and emerging local voices. However, in the Mamzar neighborhood, old baseboards, doors, and rooms have transformed into unexpected stages for artists to share their work. The former home still retains an inherent intimacy which fosters the growth of the local art community.
